F106 is used in oil storage facilities which have developed bacteria and/or algae growth in the oil/water interface.

Dosage
Bacteria in fuel storage is often misunderstood and often mislabeled as stratification due to the incompatibility of blended fuels. If the presence of bacteria is suspected, water from the fuel storage tank bottoms should be drawn and tested to determine bacteria count. If bacteria levels are above 105/ml, there is a good chance that bacteria colonization has taken place throughout the fuel. In such case, use 500 - 700ml of F106 to treat each cubic meter of fuel.
